I am excited to announce my candidacy for Murphy City Council Place 1 for the election on May 3rd, 2025. I am running to challenge the incumbent, Elizabeth Abraham.

I have a strong record of public service, having served three terms with the Murphy Community Development Corporation. Currently, I hold the position of vice chair of the combined Murphy Community Development Corporation and Murphy Municipal Development District. As a dedicated Murphy resident since 2007, I am deeply committed to our community. While balancing my full-time job and family responsibilities, I also volunteer countless hours each week with the EPIC security team.

As a council member, I will be part of the city counseling team to create policies, adopt budgets, and appoint key city officials. The team will oversee essential areas such as land use, public utilities, tax rates, and infrastructure planning. Additionally, The city council team will be responsible for approving contracts, setting spending priorities, and ensuring effective city management.

I have actively worked with religious leaders to foster interfaith dialogue and remain committed to engaging with Murphy’s diverse communities. I pledge to uphold fairness and non-discrimination based on national origin, religion, race, or color.
